Pitted Glass Resurfacing job in Grass Range, Montana
This project 2,600 miles round trip to fix pitted glass on this one. The distance isn’t uncommon. I frequently travel further for glass resurfacing jobs. What made this FEEL further was the fact that I didn’t fly this time, I drove!
The only reason driving made sense was because I had another small job in Arizona on the way back.
What struck me most about this property, was not the fact that the GUEST house, yes, GUEST HOUSE, was 9,000 square feet! The main house being 4 times that. No, what struck me more is that the driveway from the already remote dirt “main road” was an additional 1 hour and 45 minute drive past the “no trespassing” sign (no phone service mind you). During that almost 2 hour drive I passed a private airport on the property… wait, I could have just been FLOWN here! Oh well, Onward…
The cause of the damage in the glass was of unknown, but it was definitely deeply pitted. To me it looks like stone was cut near the glass, causing chips of it to impact the glass.
This was thick, bulletproof glass, and the deep dips needed to come out as close to perfect as humanly possible. Glass Savers was the obvious choice. The hiring company was a little skeptical that we would travel so far, but I reminded them that my previous 2 were further than that! We travel far for jobs like this and are frequently chosen over the local service providers.
Mission Accomplished in Montana. Where to next?
